We were awarded this project with 11 calendar days to complete all work and pass all required inspections. We removed and replaced (5) multifixture restrooms, expanding them into existing closets. We also added a grease trap to the kitchen. The facility was closed for the work. We had to complete our work on time to prevent loss of government funds. The work required removal of existing concrete floors for new plumbing locations. There were actually (7) projects for The Sunshine House being performed in the same month in Charlotte, all under threat of loss of funds and/or shut down. We were the only one of the (3) contractors, selected to do the work, to complete the work on time. In the middle of this project, we were awarded a second project, to begin as soon as this one was finished. The second project, at Little Avenue, was taken away from a contractor that did not perform his first project on time.
